How to get your AWS invoices sent to your accountant automatically
How to get Amazon Web Services invoices into the packet your accountant receives each month.
Where the invoices live
AWS keeps invoice PDFs in the Billing and Cost Management console, usually under Bills or Invoices. Email delivery is a billing preference, not something you turn on from a single permanent menu path. If you cannot find it, use the console search for “invoice”.
Which emails to forward
Invoice mail comes from an address at amazonaws.com or amazon.com. Use the From address on an invoice you already have instead of guessing a new one.
A useful filter starts from: from the address on your last AWS invoice, subject contains “invoice”.
1. Find a real invoice
Download one PDF from the Billing console, or open the email AWS already sent. That message is the template for your filter.
2. Turn on email delivery if it is off
In billing preferences, enable PDF invoices by email to an inbox you actually read. Labels move around; search the console for “invoice email” if the page is not obvious.
3. Forward that sender to MonthEnd
In Gmail or Outlook, forward mail from that exact From address to your MonthEnd address. The dashboard has the click-by-click filter steps.
4. Upload anything that never arrived
If a month is missing, download the PDF from the Billing console and upload it on the receipt page. MonthEnd files it with the rest.
Then let MonthEnd send the month
After the mail lands in MonthEnd, your accountant gets the previous month on the day you picked, as a ZIP and a CSV. Start a trial and the dashboard shows the Gmail and Outlook steps with your real forwarding address.
