How to get your Shopify invoices sent to your accountant automatically
How to collect Shopify bills automatically instead of exporting them from the admin at month end.
Where the invoices live
Shopify lists bills in the admin Billing section, which the store owner can open. Shopify also emails bills to the store email.
Which emails to forward
Use the From address on a Shopify bill you have already received, typically an address at shopify.com. Do not filter the whole domain if your store email also gets a lot of other Shopify mail you do not want filed.
A useful filter starts from: from the address on a Shopify bill, subject or body mentions a bill or invoice.
1. Open the Billing section once
Confirm the store email is one you read. That is where Shopify sends bills.
2. Forward the bill emails
Filter on the From address of a real bill and forward it to your MonthEnd address.
3. Upload a missing PDF
The Billing section can download a bill that never made it to email. Upload that file for the right month.
Then let MonthEnd send the month
