How to get your Stripe invoices sent to your accountant automatically
How to file the invoices and receipts Stripe sends you for fees and other charges on your own Stripe account.
Where the invoices live
In the Stripe Dashboard, billing documents for what you pay Stripe are listed in the billing area. This is separate from the receipts Stripe sends your customers.
Which emails to forward
Mail about your own Stripe invoices comes from an address at stripe.com. Customer receipts that you send from Stripe are a different stream. Forward only the ones you want in the books.
A useful filter starts from: from an address at stripe.com that sent you an invoice, not every customer receipt.
1. Decide which Stripe mail belongs in the books
Most founders want Stripe’s invoices for processing fees and subscription charges on the platform. You usually do not want every receipt your customers received.
2. Use a message you already trust
Open one of those invoices and copy its From address into a Gmail or Outlook filter that forwards to MonthEnd.
3. Let MonthEnd fetch the PDF when it can
If the email has no attachment but links to invoice.stripe.com or pay.stripe.com, MonthEnd tries to download the PDF. You can also download it from the Dashboard and upload it.
Then let MonthEnd send the month
After the mail lands in MonthEnd, your accountant gets the previous month on the day you picked, as a ZIP and a CSV. Start a trial and the dashboard shows the Gmail and Outlook steps with your real forwarding address.
